I stared out the small plane window. There were clouds for miles and miles, but that didn't interest me at all. All I wanted to see was the lovely pale blue over the white and grey fluff. I rested my skinny elbow on the long black armrest, to support my daydreaming head. The openness of the sky amazed me for some reason. It had a sense of ... freedom.
"Miss, Miss?" I was pulled out of my trance by a young woman's voice. I sharply turned my head to see a chunky squat airhostess pushing a cart half empty with chocolate cakes and crumbly flapjacks. Her chocolate stained uniform was baggy jeans and a bad excuse for a white blouse. On top of her melon head, she had a small blue cap. "Miss, are you hungry?" She said roughly, grabbing a plate of chocolate cake with her sausage like hands.
"Can I have a flapjack, please?" I softly replied. I didn't like flapjacks that much but the chocolate cake didn't look to appetizing after she picked it up and shock the plate.
"Why? You're a boney little thing. Why don't you want the cake? Don't you want to be big and strong, like me?" She proudly said, putting her right hand on her big hips, while holding on to the plate in her big left hand. I held back a laugh and a comment about her weight, replacing it with the same question I asked.
"Can, I have a flapjack, please?" I said, harsher than before. Her black pin-head eyes glared at me, and then she picked up a plate with a flapjack on it. Slammed it down on my small table, waking a sleeping, short old man, sitting in front of me.  She then turned and toddled away down the plane, pushing the dessert cart along with her
I stared back out the small window, to once again see the wonderful world beyond the glass. Something bright was gliding gently down to the clouds. The lovely open, blue sky slowly turned to a deep, blood red and the rolling clouds gradually turned to reds, greys and black. As the sun went under the clouds, the sky darkened to black like an abyss. The emptiness didn't last long; soon stars built in the sky with different shapes and patterns. The silver moon slowly ascended from the now black clouds in to the air. Suddenly my vision started to go blurry and my eyelids started to get hard. The blurriness grew as my eyelids fell.

"We have arrived Ruby Island, please have a safe trip. Thank you for riding with Safegoing Airline." I opened my eyes to see what was going on. People by the masses started to get up and head for the exits up and down the plane. I stretched my arms above my head and quickly grabbed my things together.  I jumped out of my seat, headed to exit at the front of the plane and quickly walked down the hallway that led to hordes of people leaving their flights. After I went to collect my bags, I sat on a cold metal bench and waited for someone to get me. I didn't know who was going to pick me up. All I knew was that it was someone from the boarding school I will be living in. "Why am I going to a boarding school?" some people might be thinking.
Flashback
"Why am I going to boarding school?!" I screamed violently at dad, banging my almost white hands on the table. My long black, straight, hair started to curl in the ends and my crystal blue eyes glared at him cruelly. Dad calmly picked his teacup with lady grey in it up and took a sip before lowering it and speaking.
"Calm, Arabella." He said calmly placing his cup back on the table. I clenched my fists in anger. Dad had brown straight hair and didn't look old enough to be my dad; I remember once someone making up a rumour that I was adopted and I hoped that was true, but it wasn't. My dad looked a bit alike, the pale skin and the straight hair, but I look more like my mum, long black hair and diamond blue eyes. Mum died when she wanted to take me away, I really wanted to go too but...
"Arabella, there are no questions asked about this. You are going!" Jasmine, Step-mother from hell, declared. Jasmine narrow eyes stared at me like an annoying stain. I guess that all I am to her, an annoying kid in the same house as her. Her long curly ginger hair was tided in a bun with strands coming loose. Her shoes, clothes, nail and make up was all colours red and clothes should not have been called clothes at all.
"Honey, you should calm down too." Dad softly said
"I know, I know, but ..." She held up a letter to dad's face. I was a child benefits letter saying that they wouldn't get child benefits any more. Two weeks before that day, I turned sixteen and they didn't even know. I got use to it, after dad married Jasmine, dad stopped caring about me.
"I know honey, that why we are sending her away." He whispered, not quite enough. The reason didn't make sense, but hearing dad call her 'honey' was making me want to go.
  End Flashback
"Excuse me." I snapped out of my daydream to see a tall thin man. He had blond hair which was tied tightly in a ponytail and wore a black uniform. "Are you Arabella Philips... by any chance?" He said nervously, scratching the back of his head and looked down on me. I slowly stood up so I wouldn't scare him off.
"Yeah I am. Ummm you are...?"I said cautiously.
"I'm from Ruby High Boarding School. The name's Chaz." He said more comfortable than before, sticking out his hand to shake. I shook his hand gently then he picked up my bags. "So..."
"So...?" We started to walk to the exit, standing side by side.
"Why did your parents -?" I glared at him, hoping he would the message to stop.
"Please don't talk about it." I begged him. He nervous pale head nodded lightly. "You ask anything else but... not that." For some reason, Chaz's face seemed to light up after I said that. He turned his head to look at me, still walking, he took a breath to say something when suddenly... he tipped over an little old lady.
"Youngsters these days no respect for their elders, what so ever." She grunted in disgust, hitting Chaz with her metal walking stick before she waddled off.
"Keep your eyes on where you walk." I bent over to pick up my bags. I couldn't face him. Reason, I would laugh at him so hard I would make him feel bad.

We talked about a few important details, example, my old school, the school rules, what am I looking for in a friend, what am I looking for in a boyfriend, favourite food, favourite movie, what do I think of him? It was obvious that he was trying to chat me you, but he's not my type. We got a 4 by 4 which driven by a weird man in a black cloak, he looked like the grim reaper. After Chaz put my suitcases in the back, he got in next to me. For the first time since I met him, he was silent. Either he was out of questions about me, or it was the driver. My guess was the creepy, shady driver.

After half an hour, I arrived at the new home of mine...
